Terms of Use

The rules of the road for browsing collections and using our prompts.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PromptPat ("the Site"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please stop using the Site immediately. We may update these terms at any time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

2. About PromptPat

PromptPat is a curated library of text-based AI prompts paired with sample images. The prompts are designed for use with third-party AI tools such as ChatGPT, Midjourney, DALL-E, Gemini, and similar platforms. We do not provide AI generation services ourselves.

3. User Accounts

You may create a free account to access additional features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Permitted Use

You may browse, copy, and use the prompts provided on PromptPat for personal and commercial creative projects. Specifically, you may:

  • Copy prompts and paste them into any AI tool of your choice.
  • Use AI-generated outputs from our prompts for personal, educational, or commercial purposes.
  • Share individual prompts with proper attribution to PromptPat.

5. Restrictions

You may not:

  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically download content from the Site using automated tools.
  • Republish, redistribute, or resell the prompt library (in whole or in substantial part) as your own product.
  • Use the Site to generate content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or infringes on third-party rights.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site's systems or other users' accounts.
  • Remove or alter any copyright or attribution notices on the Site.

6. Intellectual Property

All prompt text, sample images, site design, logos, and original content on PromptPat are owned by or licensed to PromptPat. Copying individual prompts for use in AI tools is permitted under Section 4; all other rights are reserved. The sample images displayed alongside prompts are for illustrative purposes and may have been generated using third-party AI tools.

7. User Submissions

If you submit prompts or content to PromptPat (via the submission form or any other means), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, modify, and distribute that content on the Site. You represent that you have the right to submit such content and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.

8. Third-Party Services

PromptPat may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of those sites. Your use of third-party AI tools with our prompts is governed by those tools' own terms of service.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that prompts will produce specific results in any AI tool, as outputs depend on the third-party platform, model version, and settings used.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PromptPat and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site, the prompts, or any AI-generated content produced using our prompts.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PromptPat, its operators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Site, violation of these terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these terms or is harmful to other users or the Site.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation or, if necessary, in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
